Description
Delilah the dancer from Soho
Accepted his gift with a smile.
She said, "It looks like a good ’un.
"It’ll do for my puddin’.
"I’ll get round to it after a while."
This turned out to be a very different sort of series for me, inspired by a beautiful set of poses and backgrounds called Apple Tales by ilona. Originally I wasn't interested in the heavy moral overtones of the serpents and sin and forbidden fruit, and I approached this series like a magazine photo editorial: a number of arresting images of an attractive model in exotic settings without any particular sequence or narrative structure. But when you play around with such potent Jungian archetypes, a story can't help but unfold of its own accord. Misty is weaving a definite message here about temptation, indulgence, knowledge, free will and falling from grace, even though I don't quite know what it all means myself.
I abstained from replying to any comments while I was posting the series because I was curious to see how viewers would interpret things. Among the sparse comments I've garnered, I was amused to see how people drew conclusions I never put there. For example, the lyrics to my favorite Ian Dury song that I serialized as a textual counterpoint. How marvelous that people took Simpson the street vendor's cockney sales pitch as the voice of the wicked snake. And here I just thought it was a cool song about apples!
So thanks for watching, I hope you enjoy, and maybe someone can write a master's thesis on the rich postmodern symbolism inherent in my BBW fetish art. I'd be curious to learn what I did here.
